We kicked off the year with a crucial roots reggae throwdown at Le Poisson Rouge with our good friend Rob Symeon, then spent this past Saturday night at Sullivan Hall celebrating the earthstrong of the one and only Bob Marley with our fellow reggae warriors Groundation. We figured the best way to keep the heavyweight dubwise rolling would be to head back to Brooklyn's own Zebulon for another night of serious roots vibrations on Saturday, March 27th. For the uninitiated, these shows feature some of the best playing we're capable of, and best of all it's FREE! 
When Dub Is A Weapon isn't out touring around the good old US of A, our fearless leader Dave Hahn has been teaming up with Carter Van Pelt (WKCR, Wax Poetics) to host a Happy Hour reggae listening session now called "Roots Rock Reggae". Join them each and every Thursday evening from 6:30pm to 10pm at Motor City Bar (127 Ludlow b/w Rivington & Delancey) down in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, as they spin their favorite soulful reggae selections on 100% pure vinyl! |
